SiriusXM and Pandora have joined together to create the leading audio entertainment company in the U.S. Together, we are uniquely positioned to lead a new era of audio entertainment by delivering the most compelling subscription and ad-supported audio experiences to millions of listeners -- in the car, at home and on the go. Our talent, content, technology and innovation continue to be at the forefront, and we want you to be a part of it! Check out our current openings below and at www.siriusxm.com/careers.

About The Team
We’re part of the Pandora Advertising team that builds applications for internal users to be able to forecast, plan, traffic, report and bill on advertising media.  These applications support hundreds of users and drive advertising media that serves not just Pandora and SiriusXM, but many other music and audio entertainment publishers.  We’re a diverse mix of full-stack wizards, data experts, and frontend/backend/API specialists that love delivering solutions to drive a rapidly growing $1B+ advertising business.

About The Role
As a full-stack software engineer on the Advertising Tools team at Pandora, you’ll have the opportunity to help build critical components at the foundation of our $1B+ advertising business.  You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across product and engineering to design and implement new advertising products and features that support a rapidly growing list of publisher partners while we continue to aggressively expand the platform for our 200M+ users.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders to refine requirements, build, and ultimately own the eventual, well-designed solution.  Engineers on our team write maintainable, self-documenting code, perform code reviews, and participate in design discussions.  We think you’ll be excited about this opportunity because you get to identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity and best practices.

About You
You are familiar with standard software engineering methodology, like unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation. You are collaborative and communicative.  You’re flexible enough to work across time-zones.  You bring thoughtful perspectives, empathy, creativity, and a positive attitude to tackle problems at scale.

We’re especially excited about you because you have:
  • Working proficiency with Ruby/Ruby on Rails
  • Extensive experience with object-oriented design, best practices, testing patterns, and programming languages (Python, Java, Ruby, Javascript etc.)
  • Strong experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL and in-memory data stores like Redis or Memcache.
  • (for bonus points) experience with stream processing (Kafka/PubSub), microservice technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD tools (Jenkins), and/or cloud platforms (GCP/AWS)
