About the Role:
As a Software Engineer Manager, you will contribute to and lead the engineering team in developing and supporting our multi-tenant web and mobile platforms. 

You will be responsible for keeping projects on track, solving technical issues, mentoring, and communicating with the team. To be successful in this role, you must be an expert in Ruby-on-Rails/React technologies, familiar with software design and development best practices, and developing platform features.

This position will report to our Director of Engineering.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Architect, design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable product features.
  • Manage a team of software engineers working across web and mobile platforms.
  • Hire and retain exceptionally talented software engineers.
  • Embrace and advocate for coding culture around thoroughly tested high-quality code and peer code review.
  • Identify ways to improve design, development, and testing workflows.
  • Foster the use of proven design patterns and fundamental software building blocks that enable the team to build optimal and performant solutions that scale under large spikes of usage.
  • Continuously improving best practices for secure and efficient software development.
  • Support continuous improvement of our integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure development,  smooth integration,  operations of features.

You'll bring:
  • Prior management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands-on full-stack programming experience
  • 3+ years of management or lead experience 
  • 2+ years of managing software engineers
  • Expertise with Ruby and React and related frameworks
  • Expert in object-oriented design and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of software development practices
  • Ability and motivation to absorb new and complex domain knowledge quickly
  • Evident verbal and written communication skills ranging from documentation of experiments and results to explaining project goals, plans, and progress
  • Demonstrated ability to set and follow a productive agenda independently, while keeping coordinated with the team
  • Willing to receive and show proof of the COVID-19 vaccination, or Curve Healths' approved accommodation by date of hire
