ContactMonkey is actively expanding our team to keep up with explosive demand for our Internal Communications Saas product.

Internal Communications is in a position of incredible opportunity since the radical transformation towards remote work in 2020 globally. It is now more important than ever for internal communicators to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with their teams wherever they are. This is where ContactMonkey comes in.

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer who is as passionate about creating a better world of work as we are. With your expertise, you will be pivotal to bettering employee engagement and talent retention within our global client roster as we continue to build out and refine our product.

We are interested in talking to people who:
  • Have 3-5 years experienced with development using Ruby on Rails (additional languages and web frameworks are good too!)
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Are Interested in leading technical projects from inception to delivery
  • Are obsessive about testing and quality of work
  • Proud to write testable, modular, maintainable, simple, and well-documented code
  • Are highly proficient with databases and SQL
  • Are experienced with web application and / or distributed systems development.
  • Understand modern web standards and best practices
  • Have strong ActiveRecord skills, including knowing when to use SQL directly
  • Are able to work collaboratively and independently
  • Are comfortable with agile development
  • Are interested in working at a high growth startup
  • Understand the nuances and challenges related to scale
  • Are able to draw on war stories to improve our processes and architecture

What Sets You Apart:
  • You’ve configured and deployed apps on AWS
  • Experience with frameworks like React//Vue
  • Back-end programming skills (specifically NodeJS) are great to have
  • A track record of great teamwork and the ability to work independently and drive projects to completion
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; or in Engineering, Physics, or Math with strong CS experience
