  • Prolifically ship code for new features including: building UIs, designing new data models, building API endpoints, and integrating disparate microservices and external services
  • Design technical architecture for new initiatives, write RFCs, and make choices that promote performance, reliability, scalability, and maintainability while advancing our roadmap
  • Lead projects/epics, including scoping, ticketing, coordinating with teammates and taking ownership for successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, ops, and customer success for successful product design, scoping, and launch
  • Extensively code review your teammates’ work, promoting best practices and learning
  • Mentor more junior team members and work hand-in-hand with team leadership to promote a positive engineering culture of excellence, growth, and empathy
  • Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues as they arise for services owned by the team using tools such as Datadog, Snowflake, and Sentry

What You Bring:
  • 4+ years of software development experience
  • Proficient in Backend development and MVC frameworks such as Rails or Django

  • Solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as relational databases (preferably Postgresql or Mysql), data structures and algorithms, Object Relational Mapping, REST APIs, microservices, etc.
  • A strong sense of ownership
  • An eagerness to learn, collaborate, improve, and innovate
