Requirements:
  • 4+ years of actual experience on Rails 5.1
  • Good understanding of background job processing - threading, execution, recovery, etc.
  • History of performance tuning, both the application and database queries (MySQL)
  • Mindset around testing
  • Good communicator and empathetic listener. Can explain what they did and why they did it
  • Problem solver - can assess a situation and identify multiple options to resolve the situation
  • Works well in a team setting - team succeeds or fails as a whole
  • Quickly adapts to new problem domains and has a good ability to learn quickly
  • Strong culture of peer reviews (take and receive constructive feedback)
     
Nice to have:
  • Experience with Elastic Search
  • React experience
  • Message queuing experience
  • Healthcare experience
  • Graph Database experience
  • Rails version upgrade experience
